Fundraising Branches
Fundraising Branches
MS Australia - ACT/NSW/VIC currently has 12 fundraising branches across NSW all of which are run by teams of dedicated volunteers.
What is an MS Fundraising Branch?
Each branch is made up of a small team of local residents who are drawn together by a common goal - to raise funds for people with multiple sclerosis who reside in their area. In an effort to extend the coverage of the MS Society in both country towns and cities, several branches or what was then known as auxiliaries were established in earlier 1980s.
Where does the money go?
The principal behind MS Branches is that wherever possible money raised in the local community is used for the benefit of people within that community.
To assist the branches to continue their work in the most effective way possible, the Society supports the Branches with roles, opportunities and ideas by holding annual workshops and provides a monthly newsletter "Branch News".
