MS Event Volunteers

We encourage and welcome the involvement of people from all walks of life to volunteer.

Event volunteering is very popular for a number of reasons:

  • Most events are held on a weekend, which creates the opportunity for people working full time to make a contribution.
  • At each event there is a variety of different volunteer roles to choose from.
  • Training is available to our volunteers for most events.
  • For each event detailed volunteer information packages - including position descriptions are issued.
  • ID badges are issued to volunteers for each event.
  • Event volunteers receive an MS t-shirt and MS cap to wear at our events and keep as their own.
  • MS Marketing and Fundraising staff and our Volunteer Team Leaders provide fantastic support and guidance to volunteers throughout event day.
  • Great food for our volunteers is a hallmark of our events.
  • Volunteers receive an MS branded email or letter of thanks acknowledging their contribution to each event.
  • Event volunteers are encouraged to give us their feedback and suggestions for improvement after each event by way of an online survey.
  • The atmosphere at our events is electric, an experience our volunteers tell us is hard to get any other way.

By registering as an MS Event Volunteer you will automatically be included on our data base. Whenever we have an event for which we require volunteers you will receive detailed information about the event, about the role and requirements of volunteers and instructions on how to express your interest in volunteering for that event.

Volunteers on our Event data base also receive periodic information such as Volunteers newsletters and special MS bulletins and broadsheets.
