his high achieving optimist has been involved in a vast array of diverse roles such as managing a children's home in Tasmania and Melbourne, Women's Prison Chaplain and Missionary in Brazil just to name a few, and currently Major Wendy manages the Community Support Services in rural Bendigo.
In the hustle and bustle of a hectic life and out of the blue, Wendy woke one morning to double vision initially brushing it off as "old age" but sought medical advice eventually providing a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis - the most common chronic neurological condition of the 20-50 age group.
While struggling with this diagnosis, Wendy educated her-self through numerous sources, to assist her to attempt to "take control of something that is uncontrollable". Since her diagnosis this extraordinary woman with the assistance of a Go For Gold Scholarship, which assist people living with the challenge of MS to follow a dream, to decide she was going to do anything she wanted to do and do it now. So she climbed mountains, scuba dived, sky dived and traveled to Cape York.
With the shadow of MS fatigue currently her greatest challenge this inspirational MS survivor maintains her high energy and optimistic attitude and strong faith with the knowledge, it is God's will to use me in my life's purposes, regardless of what life has thrown my way.
