"Life never hands you anything you can't deal with"
Life can throw us curve balls when we least expect it, which is exactly what happened to Voula, a secondary school teacher specialising in Modern Greek and Classical Civilization. With an Arts Degree and Diploma of Education from Melbourne University under her belt, this positive and effervescent young woman had the world at her feet, and was ready to embark feet first, when disturbing symptoms effecting her vision and co-ordination appeared out of no where.

Following hospitalisation and a diagnosis of relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis, this stoic individual chose to emotionally manage her diagnosis as "out of sight out of mind", although making allowances for the disease occasionally, and with 100% support from her family behind her, she continued living life to the full.
Early retirement from her much loved teaching profession to ensure her dedicated students were provided a consistent education, Voula multi-skilled and commenced in "emergency teaching" roles. Marriage and mother hood followed, with two baby boys.
Voula's dreams came true when her family were posted overseas for business reasons, entailing travelling and living in many exotic and foreign locations like, California, and South Caroline in America, Vancouver in Canada and Chilli in Sth America. With out her usual support system and two babies in tow this inspirational woman remained neurologically well for most of the time and achieved travelling the world in spite of MS.
Recently repatriated back to Australia this intuitive woman felt the time was right to embrace MS, fully accept and giver back to the MS community by way of education. Life has come full circle.
The MS Ambassador program is fortunate MS Ambassador Voula Kourmouris has volunteered to become part of our program. MS Australia - ACT/NSW/VIC recommends this empowering speaker who will share with you, why emotional strength and hope can provide for a beautiful life.
