"Team Work & Communication"
Marilyn, a home economics and textiles teacher of many years experience never lets the grass grow under her feet or her hands lay idle even while living with the challenge of a diagnosis of MS - the most common chronic neurological condition of the 20 to 50 age group.

Family love and support appears paramount in dealing with the day to day challenge of this unpredictable disease which not only affects the individual but also the whole family including Marilyn's twin sister who also lived with MS.
Tig Simmons, Marilyn's partner in marriage for 38 years shares the daily challenge of MS and the joy of two adult sons and loving grandchildren, keep this loving and community minded couple busy and certainly not being idle.
Marilyn is a dedicated volunteer with many organizations including Puffing Billy, Mentone Girls Secondary College, St Matthews Church and numerous roles with MS Australia - ACT/ NSW/VIC.
The role of carer and joint speaker when available to assist Marilyn, is second nature to the semi-retired Tig, who along with his wicked sense of humour, volunteers his knowledge, as he puts it, of his advanced degree in "wheelchair pushing" and post graduate qualifications in "breakfast in bed making".
MS Australia - ACT/ NSW/VIC highly recommends this effervescent double act of MS Ambassadors Marilyn & Tig Simmons who will share with you their secrets of living well together, team work and communication while raising awareness about multiple sclerosis.
