'It's not what happens in life that matters, it's what you do about it that counts'
The smell of the grease paint and the roar of the crowd sum's up Jessica Ruby's vision of her future less than ten years ago. But under the direction of fate, brought about by a dramatic change of scenery, a diagnosis of the most common chronic neurological disease of the twenty to fifty age group - multiple sclerosis.

Relapsing/remitting MS was now Jessica's script. Dramatically, this fun loving young woman's life turned from fairytale fiction to earth shattering reality.
Jessica was a past promising vocal student at a leading Arts institution in Victoria, studying classical voice, but this is now a very different dream to a young woman whose life had only just begun before diagnosis.
She is challenged with unpredictable symptoms as mild as dizziness, to the complete inability to walk or take care of herself.
Despite an initial and understandable feeling of dread for her future, this stoic and positive young woman picked her-self up, dusted her-self off and continues to tread the boards as best she can.
Following her diagnosis, Jessica contacted MS Australia and found enormous comfort and support through communication with other people who have multiple sclerosis via on-line communities.
Jessica now works as a counsellor and continues to pursue her vocal passion, hoping to juggle the two careers for as long as she can.
MS Australia recommends Jessica as a motivational speaker who will share with you, that even when you're perceived role in life changes beyond your control, the show must go on!
"Very good, brought message home - it could easily be my daughter - must keep government members aware and accountable."
