These special events is an opportunity to hear a holistic health message about changing health behaviours and adopting healthy lifestyle practices. The focus of the day is on the importance of diet, nutrition, physical activity and stress management in living well with MS. Come and try a range of health promoting activities such as yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, massage, Heartmoves for MS, strength training and nutritious foods from local providers in the community. Hear from two popular keynote speakers – Sandy Davidson, Nutritionist and Naturopath, and Dr Craig Hassed.

MS Australia – ACT/NSW/VIC together with the Heart Foundation, are delighted to announce Heartmoves for MS.
Physical activity plays an important role in assisting to minimise the symptoms of multiple sclerosis. The Heartmoves program focuses on delivering safe, low-to-moderate intensity exercise incorporating gentle aerobic activity, weight-bearing or resistance exercise and stretching – all of which help to build strength and fitness as well as improve balance.

Joining one of our exercise groups can be a good way to stay motivated to meet your fitness goals and to meet and exercise with other people with MS in a safe and understanding Environment.
Currently Exercise Groups are running around Sydney and the Central Coast. Group locations and time may vary according to demand. New groups are due to commence in 2009 at various locations. We also work closely with other exercise group providers so please contact us for details of groups near you.

Our physiotherapists will work with you to develop an individual program tailored to meet your needs. Stretch and Strength is available as a Home Program or at the Studdy MS Centre at Lidcombe.

The Go for Gold Scholarships are awarded to people with MS to follow their dream in the areas of Education, Music, Travel, Sport, The Arts and Employment. There are also the SWEAT AQUA Scholarships and $1000 Maximising your Strength Scholarships awarded.
People with MS are invited to submit entries to our Photography and Creative Writing Competitions. Entries can be submitted all year round with judging conducted by a panel from the MS Community once a year.
