The MS Australia – ACT/NSW/VIC Go for Gold Scholarships program grows bigger and better every year. These scholarships have helped to change the lives of people living with MS in the ACT, NSW and Victoria.
About the Go for Gold Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded to people with MS across the ACT, NSW and Victoria who display a need and potential in various aspects of life, including employment, sport, travel, education and the arts. Whether it's being able to attend an exercise program, purchase equipment, undertake a course or travel afar, the scholarships are awarded to people with MS with a wide range of goals and dreams.
The 24 Hour Mega Swim
The number of scholarships has increased over the years, thanks to the generous efforts of the organisers, swimmers and supporters of the 24 Hour Mega Swim. The 24 Hour Mega Swim is a fun community event that has been raising money for people living with MS for more than 11 years. Established by Carol Cooke, who was diagnosed with MS in 1998, this annual event continues to expand in size and fundraising capacity every year, and has become a prominent event on the national calendar of sporting and community events.
