How can we best describe MS Ambassador Amanda Campbell? Singer/songwriter, dancer, model, high-end fashion website owner, corporate personal assistant, Sports Kinesiology Student and twin – all of the above!

While twenty-something and with the intention of steering a fast paced, high profile, professional career, this multi talented young woman's life changed tune.

It took just ten days for this dynamic young woman's body to almost completely shut down. Left sided paralysis left this normally very focused and independent career driven lady, scared and without the ability to lift her arms and legs. Admission to hospital followed by two months of rehabilitation, found Amanda clawing her way back to her high end website business she had built over a two year period.

The long journey back involved the support of many parties – nurturing and loving family, caring twin sister, dedicated girlfriends and amazing health professionals and enlightened alternative therapists, who step by step guided this stoic young woman's muscles back to normal function.

A brief attempt to resume her previous fast paced lifestyle – three jobs, working 24/7 – had to be begrudgingly closely reviewed and modified to a more sensible pace. Amanda has come out the other end, making responsible decisions about her body and soul. She hopes to stay healthy by taking on board a positive lesson from the past difficult time, which has resulted in a definitely diagnosis of multiple sclerosis, the most common chronic neurological disease of young Australians.

Informed and educated about MS. Amanda has experienced a new appreciation for health and is able to engage in a better, happier life. Her passion is ever-burning to achieve and she is currently studying kinesiology with the full intention to help other people because of her experience.
